Carlos Sands, also known as Moose, had a very brief racing career and was retired for many years before being donated to Lake Fork Stables by trainer Kris Fullerton and owner Evelyn Bean.

Moose has become an important part of our lesson program, as he is always very calm, easy-going, and trustworthy. Because he’s not the lean, English-style of Thoroughbred, he primarily rides western, and Western Dressage seems to be more his style, for which he has already won blue ribbons as well as a Reserve Champion in In-Hand Dressage.
